    Liebherr

Famous for inventing the tower crane, Liebherr's range of mobile cranes is perhaps the most extensive around and offers a huge choice of sizes and configurations to suit almost any application. The Liebherr mobile crane family encompasses models with lattice or telescopic booms built on to either crawler-tracked or wheeled undercarriages. This allows the units to operate in some of the most challenging conditions to be found anywhere. Liebherr mobile cranes are therefore manoeuvrable and also compact and powerful.

German technology ensures the best operation and build quality, and the cranes are equally at home on the site or out on the open road when travelling between jobs.

    Overview

    Full Range of mobile cranes

The LTM range of Liebherr mobile cranes features lift capacities of no fewer than 21 different sizes, making them ideal for a wide variety of tasks. They are capable of travelling at up to 50mph on public roads and are also designed to be agile on site due to their compact body size.

Liebherr mobile cranes also include a single lattice boom crane, the LG 1750. This machine is a 750-tonne crane with a total of eight axles. It also has cruciform support and a variable configuration boom system. The LG 1750 is aimed at the heavy-duty crane market and is capable of extensive, demanding and versatile operations.

Liebherr truck-mounted telescopic cranes provide an economical choice in the taxi crane segment. They are capable of driving on public roads with all of their equipment in place. This means that they save time and money by being instantly ready to do their work when arriving on site. This cost-effective nature is improved further by keeping operating costs as low as possible, and the standard truck configuration means that fuel consumption is also kept to a minimum.

The LTF family offers plenty of power for the heaviest work by featuring an additional engine in the body of the crane which is used solely for crane operation. The LTF range runs from the LTF 1045 4.1 with a maximum lift capacity of 93,500 lb to the LTF 1060 4.1, which can lift 132,300 lb.

    Compact Cranes too

Liebherr also offers a compact crane, the LTC 1045 3.1. This is a niche machine aimed at operations where there is a severely limited amount of available space. It is therefore designed to be extremely manoeuvrable and compact. This allows the LTC to go into situations where other cranes cannot reach. The maximum lift capacity of the LTC 1045 3.1 is 95,600 lb and the maximum lift height is 157 ft.

The range of Liebherr mobile cranes finishes off with two specialist cranes. The company offers fire brigade cranes in both the 50- and 70-tonne sectors which are again designed to be compact and agile to allow them to operate in the difficult and demanding urban environments where firefighters often have to deploy their machines. The company also makes specialist cranes for the military. These cranes are found in all three services - the navy, army and air force - and often operate in special combat-engineer units. These specialist cranes offer the same impressive abilities as their civilian cousins.

In addition to cranes of all shapes and sizes, Liebherr also manufacture a range of excavators for applications as varied as tunnelling, mining and marie operations.
