The length of the body of box vans in this category can vary, with models ranging from 12 to 22 feet. You will also want to keep an eye on the cab configuration offered by used models. Some will feature a standard three-seat cab, while others can come with crew cabs and even sleeper compartments.     Manual and auto gearboxes can be found on DAF box vans, as well as air or spring suspension, disc brakes and the latest engines. Engine efficiency and emissions are determined by the Euro rating that is achieved by a van's power plant, and this will usually vary depending on the age of the vehicle.

    So if you are buying second-hand, then newer models will offer Euro IV or V engines, while older Euro III-engined box vans may be more affordable upfront but cannot match their successors in terms of fuel consumption.
