Recycling and waste management provider Sparling Recycling recently added a new Renault C430 8x4 hook loader to its fleet of six Renault trucks, including tippers, skip loaders, and hook loaders, which serve commercial and residential customers throughout Devon and Cornwall. The new C430 replaces a 61-plate Renault Kerax from the company’s fleet and is expected to increase operational efficiency.
"The C430 construction chassis is bulletproof and does what it says on the tin, the durability and build quality are second to none,” says Sparling Recycling’s Barry Green. “It’s a strong and reliable bit of kit, the automatic gearbox is outstanding, and with all the mod cons that are built in, the driver will be pretty happy too.”
About The Renault C430
Sparling’s new C430 has a day cab with added options like a 4-point cab air suspension, a 7-inch colour multimedia touchscreen, an adjustable heated driver’s seat, air conditioning, a leather steering wheel, roof-mounted twin air horns, and Renault Trucks’ RoadPad+ audio, navigation, and entertainment system.
The C430 uses radar detection, cameras around the truck, automatic headlights, and windscreen wipers to improve driver awareness. Driver fatigue detection, a lane departure warning system, automatic emergency braking, and speed assistance also help keep drivers and other road users safe.
The truck is powered by a DE13 turbo compound engine, which reduces fuel consumption and carbon emissions. The steerable axis can carry up to 9 tonnes (9.9 U.S. tons), and Renault says it has a turning radius up to 15% shorter than a standard 8x4.
