SDC Trailers have announced they are exhibiting at the Road Transport Expo 2024, set to take place from 4 to 6 June at the NAEC Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire. Customers are invited to visit the semitrailer manufacturer’s stand at RTX (B20), where they will showcase “Industry-leading semitrailers, designed for a diverse range of industries including retail, construction, logistics, and more.”

SDC, the UK and Ireland’s largest semitrailer manufacturer with over 46 years in the industry, continues to push the boundaries of trailer design and technology, delivering unparalleled performance and reliability across their extensive trailer range. Visitors to the event will have the opportunity to see first-hand SDC Trailers' latest advancements in the semitrailer industry, with two exceptional trailers on display.

“Visitors to SDC Trailers stand will have the chance to explore the leading design, flexibility, and quality build that sets SDC Trailers apart,” says SDC Trailers Group President Paul Bratton. “From advanced safety features to innovative design elements aimed at maximising efficiency, the showcased trailers embody SDC's commitment to pushing the boundaries of excellence in transportation. We look forward to welcoming customers and other industry professionals to SDC’s RTX stand B20, to experience firsthand the exceptional quality and innovation SDC Trailers bring to the road transport industry.”

SDC’s Platform Trailer stands out as one of the most durable and robust models within the range. A 13.59-metre variant built for Coldstore Construction Services will feature on SDC’s RTX stand, incorporating a Moffett Kit with suitable ballast weight, BPW Drum axles, Haldex Gen 4 braking, JOST Modul landing legs and a 1500-millimetre-high fixed headboard. The workhorse trailer incorporates SDC’s heavy-duty chassis, adaptable to construction and general haulage, complete with a customer-specified Keruing floor, LED lighting, posts and sockets, sideguard infills, buffers, and other safety features.

SDC will also showcase their Freespan Curtainsider, a pillarless EN 12642-XL certified design, which is popular among operators for its practical operational features. Manufactured in high-tensile steel with a robotically welded chassis, the 13.7-m Freespan show trailer comes with a BPW strapping system, roll stability braking, reinforced WISA-Trans floor, T Bar deck lashing rings, LED electrics, TIMS info centre, branch guard, PVC weave curtains and SDC’s trusted Easy-Roll curtain rail technology.

With over four decades of experience collaborating with leading transport operators, SDC’s technical sales team is dedicated to assisting operators in determining the optimal specification, tailored to their specific transport needs. The manufacturer has 4 UK-based production plants spanning over 1.6 million square metres, and a further 14 Parts depots providing backup support. The SDC Truck & Trailer Parts team will also be present on the RTX stand, showcasing their 16,000 Truck and Trailer Parts portfolio.
