Dennison Trailers recently announced that it is supplying haulier Fagan & Whalley with 40 new curtainsiders. Founded in 1964 in Northern Ireland, Dennison Trailers has manufactured trailers for more than 50 years. It has manufacturing plants in Naas and Lancaster. Fagan & Whalley was launched in 1927, and provides specialist transport, distribution, and BRC (British Retail Consortium) warehousing services to UK and European customers.
Shared Values
Fagan & Whalley has depots in Lancashire and the Midlands, and more than 23,225 square metres (250,000 square feet) of warehouse space. Fagan & Whalley and Dennison Trailers representatives count their companies’ similar values and family-run operations as positives.
“The company’s core values align very closely with those at Fagan & Whalley, bolstering a passion for engineering excellence and continuous product development,” says Fagan & Whalley’s Daniel Wood of Dennison Trailers. “The communication and customer service from Dennison Trailers have been second to none, and we are very much looking forward to seeing the relationship continue to develop in the months and years to come.”
Dennison Curtainsiders
Dennison Trailers curtainsiders feature a bolted main body that it says results in a stronger, stiffer, and easier-to-repair design. The trailers include galvanised rear door and front pillars and rear corner protectors to prevent rusting and corrosion. An ENXL-certified pillarless version is available as an option. The trailers include front and rear curtain ratchet tensioners for easy access at both ends and on both sides, plus a pull-out ladder with grab handle, storage space for straps, and extruded aluminum cant and steel cargo rails. Options include up to a 44-t (48.5-U.S.-ton) gross vehicle weight (GVW), various neck thickness options, and a step frame version.
Other Dennison Trailers
Dennison Trailers also carries machinery carrier, platform, skeletal, tipper, and trombone trailers. The machinery carrier lineup includes 44-t easy neck, fixed tractor, extendable tractor, and CAT 1 versions variously available with hydraulic and pull-out loading ramps. The platform family includes nine types in lengths up to 13.6 metres (44.6 feet) and GVWs up to 44 t.
Dennison Trailers has nine skeletal types in fixed and sliding configurations, and claims that in Britain, 50% of container haulage companies buy its skeletals. Tippers are available in fixed 35-cubic-yard (26.8 cubic metres) and slide models independently tested to meet Institute of Road Transport Engineers (IRTE) Class A stability requirements. Trombones come in extendable and straight frame extendable versions designed for construction applications.
