Dennison recently teased a soon-to-be announced trailer, a sliding bogie multi-function trailer built to carry two 6.1-metre (20-foot) containers, that will be on display at Multimodal in Birmingham from 19 to 21 October. The rear sliding bogie provides hauliers with additional flexibility and can even be split out into a second, independent trailer. Dennison says the new trailer offers all the benefits of its other multi-function trailers.
Built For Flexibility
Designed to save time and money for hauliers, Dennison’s multi-function skeletal trailer allows the driver to disconnect the rear section at a drop-off point to more easily load and unload two 6.1-m containers. Dennison also equips the trailer with multiple twist lock positions that allow it to transport heavy 6.1-m, 9.1-m (30-ft), 12.2-m (40-ft), and 13.7-m (45-ft) containers. Rear stabilizing legs allow fast forklift access when loading containers, and the trailer’s air-operated locking pins help drivers quickly uncouple the front section from the rear.
Sliding Bogie Skeletal Trailer
Dennison’s sliding bogie version of the skeletal trailer weighs in under 4,800 kilograms (10,582 pounds) and is equipped to transport containers from 6.1 to 13.7 m. The bogie features a 14-lock design that allows operators to configure the skeletal trailer for different container sizes, and with its pin and roller design, operators don’t need to split the trailer completely apart to make configuration changes.
