DAF Trucks recently announced it is expanding DAF Connect functionality with the additions of a webshop where users can manage their subscriptions and an open-source platform to enable easy integration of third-party fleet management software. As more trucks roll out of DAF production facilities equipped with DAF Connect, these new features will make the system even more user-friendly.
Keeping Hardware Costs Low
Through the DAF Connect webshop, users can extend contracts with additional services online with just a click through a dashboard that shows at a glance which applications are available for purchase or extension. The DAF Connect Open Platform allows trusted third-party fleet management suppliers to retrieve data directly from Connect to reduce the number of expensive hardware modules in the vehicle.
About DAF Connect
DAF Connect provides real-time information on truck status and performance. Through the platform, users receive data such as current vehicle location, arrival and departure times, driver and vehicle reports, and maintenance schedules. Owners can evaluate performance of individual drivers and monitor deviations from plans in terms of speed, route, location, and fuel consumption. The user-friendly dashboard can be customised by selecting the modules that are most important to the operator.
