Scania has named TruckEast Norwich its 2020 Depot of the Year, an award the branch has earned twice in three years. Keltruck Hereford and West Pennine Trucks Telford took second and third, respectively. Scania points out that this year’s event was unlike any other due to COVID-19-related challenges, but says that its branches still put in strong performances.
The DOTY award is earned as part of a year-long competition between 84 service centres across the United Kingdom. It focuses “on a broad range of qualitative measures,” according to Scania, including speed of roadside assistance, software update regularity, Customer Satisfaction Index telephone interviews, mystery shopper performance, recalls, meeting Dealer Operating Standards, and “adhering to service core processes and standard repair times,” Scania explains.
“Special Congratulations”
“It is our absolute pleasure to recognise the best of the best in service capability in our UK Scania network, especially in such a challenging year,” says Martin Hay, managing director of Scania (Great Britain) Limited. “I want to thank everyone in our network for delivering such an outstanding service during what has possibly been the hardest year in living memory, and of course my special congratulations go to the teams at TruckEast Norwich, Keltruck Hereford, and West Pennine Telford for achieving our top three positions in the 2020 Depot of the Year programme. Well done to them all for delivering such an exceptional performance.”
