Blue Light Services, an ambulance conversion specialist in London, recently added a new Isuzu N75.150 truck with a Truck Craft curtain side beavertail body to its fleet, its first purchase from the marque. The 7.5-tonne (8.3-U.S.-ton) rigid has a payload capacity of 4 t (4.4-U.S. t), making it well-suited for delivering finished ambulances to customers. The cab sports a full vehicle wrap and the curtains feature an image of an ambulance, providing a sneak peak of the cargo inside.
The N75.150 is powered by a four-cylinder, Euro 6 engine that produces 148 horsepower (110 kilowatts) and up to 375 newton-metres (277 pounds-foot) of torque. The base chassis cab has a six-speed manual transmission, but Isuzu offers another version of the truck with a six-speed Easyshift automated transmission.
The Many Benefits Of The Isuzu N75.150
“The majority of ambulances we manufacture tend to be up to 3.5-tonne GVW and under, so the Isuzu 7.5-tonner, fitted with the beavertail body, is the perfect vehicle for our requirements,” says Johnny Fieldhouse of Blue Light Services. “Not only do we use it to transport finished ambulances to our customers, but it’s also really valuable to us for transporting materials between our two manufacturing sites in Park Royal, London, and Peterborough. With the almost life-sized ambulance image on the side of the curtains, our new Isuzu presents an excellent overall image about our business to our customers when it is out delivering.”
