Bridgestone will highlight its entire range of mobility solutions at this year’s International Motor Show (IAA), which runs from 12th through the 22nd September in Frankfurt, Germany. The firm will emphasise its evolution from solely manufacturing tyres to becoming a full-fledged technology provider focused on CASE (connected, autonomous, shared, and electric) technologies and services.
The company will talk about their Bridgestone Connect digital solution, which “uses an embedded telematics dongle to monitor a vehicle’s key components,” including tyres, brakes, and more. If it detects an issue, the system notifies the user via a dedicated app. Other highlighted products include MOBOX, a monthly subscription service that offers special warranties, premium services, and new tyres, as well as NEXTFLEET and WEBFLEET, which came along with the company’s acquisition of TomTom Telematics earlier this year. WEBFLEET is a fleet management solution that monitors driver behaviour, vehicle location, and more, while NEXTFLEET is designed for connected cars and covers vehicle maintenance, accident management, and other areas.
Bridgestone Tyres
Although the focus of the show is on mobility solutions, Bridgestone will still highlight its extensive lineup of tyres and tyre technologies. Tyres on display include Blizzak LM005 winter tyres, Turanza T005 summer tyres for wet and dry roads, and Weather Control A005 all-season touring tyres. Tyre innovations include Enliten lightweight tyre design, B-Silent technology for reducing in-vehicle noise, B-Seal automatic sealant technology for improved air retention in case of embedded materials, and Run-Flat Technology that “enables a tyre with zero air pressure to continue at speeds of up to 80 kilometres per hour for 80 kilometres,” Bridgestone says.
There will also be a wide range of Firestone tyres on display at IAA 2019. Examples include the Winterhawk 3 for winter driving, the Roadhawk, designed to excel in both wet and dry conditions, and the Multiseason GEN 02, which is “designed to raise performance and value” and “is built to perform in all weather,” according to Bridgestone.
Celebrating The Upcoming Olympics
Bridgestone will also take the opportunity to highlight its “Chase Your Dream, No Matter What” campaign as well as its partnership with the Olympic and Paralympic Games, which will be held next summer in Tokyo, Japan. Bridgestone says it “is committed to improve the way people move, live, work, and play by supporting the Olympic Movement as well as to inspire people of all ages, abilities and passions to chase their dream and overcome the obstacles they face on life’s journey.”
