KeolisAmey, which operates the Docklands Light Railway in London, recently added 27 Peugeot light commercial vehicles to its fleet, including Partner, Expert, Boxer, Traveller Business, and Built for Business vans. Fleet conversion specialists Bott will convert the panel vans to hold specialty tools and equipment. The vehicles are under three-year, full-maintenance contract hire leases through Groupe PSA Free2Move Lease, and KeolisAmey plans to run them for between 8,000 and 10,000 miles each year. The company can also request a replacement vehicle if necessary, which will be delivered within four hours.
“We have worked very closely with Peugeot, the supplying Dealer Robins and Day Peugeot Maidstone, and the converters, to ensure that the vehicles meet our requirements and are as future-proofed as possible for operation within the London Ultra-Low Emissions Zone that comes into force in less than a year,” says Daniel Tweede, fleet coordinator at KeolisAmey Docklands. “Peugeot’s low-emission vehicle range and flexible approach were important factors in securing the deal.”
